Paulmead Treehouse
Cotswolds

This treehouse was constructed within the remains of an old oak tree. The main branches of the tree were cut down and then restacked to form an arch over a stream and a support for a rope swing. A portable saw mill was used to cut the decking, steps and handrail from the remaining branches. Shingles were also axed for the roof tiles. Although not enclosed, the roof provides protection from the rain and there is enough room to sleep a couple of people.
