Horsley Church 3 in 1 Project
This project was set up to convert the Horsley village church for use by the local primary school and community as well as the worshipping congregation. The conversion involved removing pews, adding loos, a kitchen, disabled access, a new heating system, a new raised floor (incorporating under floor heating), increased storage, a new lighting and audio visual systems and generally making the space more flexible for a wide range of uses. The result has been that the church building has been re-invigorated as the heart of this busy village community, with the children feeling very much ‘at home’ there, but with the space still maintained as a place for worship.
