Pyll Barn, Sheepscombe, Gloucestershire
An extension to a listed barn built using a green oakframe and Cotswold Stone. We worked closely with the oak framers (The Oak Frame Carpentry Company) and the client to design a frame that had a traditional overall look but incorporated contemporary glazing elements and accomodated a large amount of insulation in the roof. The large sliding doors are detailed in such a way that the frames disappear into the structure leaving the barn with a feeling of openness to the field
