Little Haynes Barn:
Conversion, extension and landscaping of Cotswold stone barns to create a contemporary, light-filled home. Two separate agricultural barns have been linked together using a minimal glazed structure forming a U shape around a secluded courtyard garden. A conscious move has been made not to domesticate the simple beauty of the original structure, so the building retains a strong sense of being a set of barns. Heating is from a combination of solar and ground source heat pumps, to reduce running costs and carbon footprint.
