When David Wilson decided to study architecture in 1970 he had no idea it would be more than 40 years before he qualified. Now however, after successfully completing the last element of his architectural education at the University of Bath and registering as an architect, he is set - at the age of 62 - to become a fully qualified Architect at Millar+Howard Workshop.
Back in the 70's, after studying for 5 years at Cambridge University School of Architecture and later at the prestigious Architectural Association School in London, David had every intention of joining an architectural practice and completing his professional training. But, finding himself entranced by the new computer technologies that were emerging at the time, he chose to embark on a career designing microchips and high-performance computers. "Changing track was something of an impulsive decision." recalls David. "At the time, I saw it as a natural development of my architectural training. Designing a silicon chip is not all that different from designing a vast building. It calls for creativity, meticulous organisation and teamwork"
We feel delighted and privileged to have Dave on board and look forward to many projects together.
